Nuby Sippy Cups February 26, 2010

I am in the process of weaning my daughter from breastfeeding I am trying to introduce the Nuby sippy cup.  The reason why I chose the Nuby was the fact that the starter cups had a soft sippy on it.  I had tried other sippy cups and my daughter would not latch on to the cup the same way she did the Nuby cup.  Since it has a soft sippy it reminds her of the breast which is helpful with transitioning her.  The cups are easy to clean I have the cups with the handles and the small and large cups she likes them all and gets excited to see a cup!  Nuby Sippy Cups come in a wide variety of assorted colors.  The most important aspect of the Nuby sippy cup besides the fact that it is shaped so your baby can grasp it easily, is the fact that the cups are BPA Free (Bisphenol A Free).   The Nuby Sippy Cup is approved by Momma Casper as an easy to use product for me and my daughter!

Robeez Shoes Review February 21, 2010

I was in the market for some shoes that my daughter can crawl in and stay on her feet.  These shoes truly past the test for sure!  They promote good balance, while protecting little feet from the world. They stay on too, with elasticized ankles to ensure a perfectly snug fit.  

I was worried that my daughter would fuss at her shoes and try and pull them off like her socks.  I had no issues with them I was checking to make sure she could not kick them off and there was no signs of them even slipping off I was thrilled!  I was also please to find out that these shoes were eco-friendly.  They are made with Eco-friendly leather linings and outsole provide breathability and comfort.  These shoes are not stiff they are very flexible much like slippers. Baby Carriers February 8, 2010

I am in the market for a baby carrier for running errands and such.  Before the winter arrived I would take my daughter to the grocery store and have her in a Baby Bjorn she loved it!  When the winter arrived I stopped taking my daughter to the store with me alone since it would take so much time.   There are so many options out there at this time it is hard to figure what is right for me and my daughter.  I need something that will last well into toddler-hood.  I must start my quest soon summer is coming!  What can I find that will work for me and won’t break the bank!

Parent Tested Parent Approved January 31, 2010

It is Official!! 

After many long hours of surfing the internet trying to learn how I can make a differance with the toys that my daughter plays with I learned about Parent Tested Parent Approved.  I went on to other mommy blogs that had signed up for the PTPA and they waited nearly a year to be an approved tester. I was prepaired to wait if that is what I needed to do. I am pleased to announce that I have been recently selected to review product for my daughter. I enjoy trying new products often I will share my reviews with other momma’s out there now, I now get to make a difference and give my feedback to the manufacture.  I hope that you look forward to my reviews as much as I look forward to giving them.

Baby Bangs REALLY?!? January 26, 2010

Today after watching the Rachael Ray show I heard her talking about Baby Bangs. Come on people do you really need to put “fake hair” on your baby?  The whole part about being a baby is sometimes you are born with it and sometimes it takes MONTHS to grow in.  Who cares at that age you are not going to try to impress someone just to get a date at that age right? 

Baby bangs has a slogan of “For the girls who have everything except hair.”  I mean really do we really need to put fake hair on our children.  It looks kind of creepy if you ask me!  Babies are so cute with or without hair. They are allowed to wake up and look like they have “bed head” all day and not care.

Don’t go out looking for their site it seems down at the moment, hopefully forever…

Saving the planet one diaper at a time! January 23, 2010

Many people these days don’t want to consider using cloth diapers due to the amount of time and effort you need to put into them.  We are these days in the need to get things done and fast including diaper changes.  So well before my baby was born I wanted to make a change and go back old school to cloth diapers.  Everyone in my family thought I was loosing my mind and blamed it on baby brain! Haha I was very serious and wanted to do it.  I did my research on them to see what was out there since by now there had to be a “system” that would make it somewhat easier.  Well there was and I fell head over heals for them right away and it doesn’t take much more time than putting in a load of laundry.  The product that I use full-time since my daughter was born is called  BumGenius and it is!    I ordered a dozen diapers to start to make sure this is what I really wanted to do.  Now it is 10 months later and I am still going strong on the diapers I have never run out which is great!  I wash them about every two days or so.

WASHING

• First I was them in my laundry room sink in HOT water.
• I then run them through the washing machine twice on HOT!! (NO SOAP!!!) The diaper can hold the soap in the diaper and it can then burn the skin.  Not so comfortable for baby.
• Last process line dry them it saves on the ware and tear on the diapers in the long run.  It should only take over night.  I place mine on a drying rack in the bathroom over the vent it normally will be dry over night.

Baby Socks… January 23, 2010

Are you tired of loosing tinny little baby socks in the washer and dryer?  I don’t know about you all, I also hate sorting baby socks!  The cloths are enough to handle.  I wanted to share my solution to those small little baby socks.  I have invested in diaper pins.  Yes diaper pins, they actually still make them they have so many good uses and not just for the old fashion cloth diapers.  I usually end up pinning at least two pair together and throwing them in the hamper to be washed.  I just keep them pinned in the drawer until they are ready to be used.  I have never lost a pair yet!  so go out and make your life easier and get some diaper pins for those small little socks.

Evenflo Symphony 65 Convertible Car Seat – Circles by Evenflo January 23, 2010

I just want to give my review of this car seat!  I was very pleased with how easy this seat is to use.  My 9 month old was growing out of her infant seat.  I did a ton of research on the next step and found that this seat was perfect for her!!  I was so glad to find that it was easy to use!  It will take only seconds to move it from one car to the other.  The only down fall is that we have a Pilot and we have to place her seat in the middle in the back. My husband and I are tall and need the leg room up front. Since she needs to be rear facing still we also had to place a towel under the seat to accommodate the recline. She falls asleep every time she is in the car so I know she is comfortable.  Love that the shoulder straps are easily moved to accommodate the winter coat.  Looking forward to using this seat for a long time!
